What you will do

• Configure and calibrate virtual camera rigs in Unreal Engine to match real-world physical camera and lens packages.
• Collaborate with Directors of Photography and VFX Supervisors to translate physical camera settings into digital environments.
• Build high-fidelity previsualization, techvisualization, and postvisualization sequences.
• Facilitate live virtual scouting sessions for creative teams to explore and block camera paths dynamically.
• Ensure smooth pipeline integration of camera tracking data, FBX/USD layouts, and timecode syncing.
• Optimize real-time scenes for low-latency performance during virtual camera tracking and live-action playback.

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in Unreal Engine, specifically Sequencer, Cine Camera Actors, and the VCam system.
• Demonstrated on-set virtual production experience.
• Strong understanding of cinematography principles, framing, shot composition, and camera movement.
• Proven track record working within established film production or high-end VFX pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical real-time workflows and filmmaking terminology.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python or Blueprinting for tool automation.
• Practical experience with advanced camera projection techniques.
• Proficiency in leveraging generative AI tools like ComfyUI or open-source models to optimize production workflows.
