Research Professional (Management Consulting)

Location: Malaysia; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients. Only applicants with current Malaysian work rights will be considered; no work visa sponsorship is provided.

What you will do

• Conduct quick-turnaround and in-depth secondary research using information tools and proprietary databases.
• Synthesize information, identify concepts and trends, and provide basic insights and data analysis.
• Support consultants with client service, business development, and intellectual capital projects.
• Develop and maintain customized knowledge products with research specialists and consultants.
• Manage an industry-specific research pipeline, prioritize competing requests, and coordinate with international colleagues.
• Create project-specific graphical presentations of research findings using Microsoft Office tools.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a research professional in management consulting, technology, investment banking, private equity, asset management, or a research provider.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, LSEG Eikon/Refinitiv, S&P Capital IQ, and similar market data resources.
• Strong research synthesis, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent Excel skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Current Malaysian work rights are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Ability to apply Generative AI tools to improve the efficiency and quality of research deliverables.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Proficiency in Japanese or Mandarin to support Asia-Pacific business operations.
