What you will do

• Analyze polling, vote count, and demographic data to identify actionable editorial insights.
• Produce original analysis and data visualizations for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.
• Monitor real-time election results and provide rapid analysis during breaking news coverage.
• Collaborate with editorial, research, and engineering teams to integrate analytics into political coverage.
• Implement AI and automation tools to enhance data processing and newsroom workflows.
• Test election systems, including graphical and touchscreen software, to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Political Science, Economics, or Journalism.
• 5+ years of experience in political data analysis, polling, or computational journalism.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. electoral system and polling methodologies.
• Proficiency with analytical tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY and have unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
• Ability to work flexible hours under tight deadline pressure during election cycles.

• Advanced degree in Data Science or Political Science.
• Experience applying AI/ML techniques to newsroom workflows.
