Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: EU remote, 100% remote

What you will do

• Design and build core backend systems powering autonomous AI agents.
• Create APIs and services for high-scale, real-time workflows.
• Orchestrate asynchronous systems using Kafka, SQS, and RabbitMQ.
• Optimize performance, cost, and reliability across AI pipelines.
• Ship features end-to-end with a small, experienced engineering team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong system design fundamentals.
• Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
• Familiarity with relational and/or document databases.
• Clear communication, low ego, and high ownership.
• Ability to work remotely from the EU.
