Salary: $300,000–$350,000 (for California-based applicants).

What you will do

• Own corporate security, including endpoint, identity, and network security for a distributed organization.
• Partner with engineering to integrate security into the development lifecycle for database and cloud products.
• Manage compliance programs, including SOC 2 Type II and the path toward ISO 27001.
• Lead incident response planning, vulnerability management, and customer-facing security communications.
• Report security posture, risk appetite, and compliance status to executive leadership and the board.
• Build and manage a team of security and compliance professionals as the company scales.

Requirements

• 10-12 years of experience in security roles, with 3-5 years in a management capacity.
• Deep understanding of cloud security architecture and emerging AI-specific security risks.
• Working fluency in compliance frameworks, specifically SOC 2 Type II.
• Proven track record of presenting security posture and risk to executive or board-level audiences.
• Experience partnering with engineering and GTM teams as a technical enabler.
• Must be based in the Bay Area and able to work from the office 3 days per week.
