What you will do

• Serve as a trusted advisor to influence the organization's security strategy and drive complex security initiatives.
• Design and implement scalable automated security solutions that bridge on-prem technologies with cloud environments.
• Ensure AWS cloud services and technologies are engineered with security best practices.
• Lead technical implementation of core services, including data protection controls and network security segmentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, prioritize, and mitigate security risks throughout the development lifecycle.
• Evaluate and integrate new security technologies and tools to improve the overall security posture.

Requirements

• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship provided).
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Engineering, or Application Development (or 9+ years equivalent experience).
• Proven experience driving and building wide-impacting security initiatives, including hands-on coding.
• Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and frameworks such as PCI-DSS and NIST 800-53.
• Strong ability to mentor other domain experts and individual contributors.
• Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.

Nice to have

• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or GIAC.
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty and AWS Solutions Architect/Professional.
• Experience with Amazon AI services such as Bedrock or AgentCore.
• Proven track record of weighing costs and benefits of potential technical actions.
