What you will do

• Own the international expansion roadmap, starting with Canada and extending to the UK and EU markets.
• Lead end-to-end integration of strategic processors, partnering with Engineering on API specs and boarding flows.
• Research and document market-specific requirements regarding local payment methods, currency, and regulatory constraints.
• Manage the product backlog, writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to drive engineering delivery.
• Define go-to-market strategies, including positioning, partner messaging, and sales enablement for new geographies.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Finance to ensure adherence to data privacy laws like PIPEDA and GDPR.

Requirements

• 5+ years in product management, with at least 3 years in payments, fintech, or B2B SaaS.
• Demonstrated experience taking a product into a new market or geography through to adoption.
• Hands-on Product Owner experience managing Jira backlogs and closely coordinating with engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of payment localization, including local payment methods and regulatory compliance.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Fluent with AI tools for market research, spec drafting, and analysis.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with the Canadian payments ecosystem (e.g., Interac, Moneris, Chase Paymentech Canada).
• Familiarity with Canadian (PIPEDA, FINTRAC) and UK/EU (PSD2, GDPR, FCA) regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with SaaS CRM, merchant lifecycle, or partner-facing management platforms.
• Experience working with product marketing on positioning and competitive battlecards.
