Salary: $175,000 - $195,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead the design roadmap, architectural discussions, and overall development for the engineering team.
• Design, engineer, and deploy scalable architecture for specified financial products.
• Champion the adoption of design and coding best practices and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Provide subject matter expertise to business and development groups to optimize financial applications.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and generate innovative ideas to improve system performance.
• Oversee the day-to-day work of technical staff or serve as project manager for high-impact business initiatives.

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional experience in software design.
• Expert knowledge of N-tier web-based software applications built on a Java-centric stack.
• Deep understanding of the AWS stack with a focus on serverless and microservices technologies.
• Advanced skills in SQL databases (SQL Server or Oracle) and expert SQL tuning capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Ability to work from the Boston office 2-3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OLAP databases such as Snowflake.
