What you will do

• Define and own the cloud platform architecture, establishing standards for security, reliability, and consistency.
• Lead the architecture for Kubernetes and EKS, focusing on multi-tenancy, networking, and security hardening.
• Partner with AI architects to evolve agent and model-serving infrastructure into a scalable, production-grade platform.
• Drive multi-cloud strategy by evaluating AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud for performance, cost, and capability.
• Design cloud-native solutions adaptable for air-gapped, self-hosted environments like US Secret (SIPRNet) and Top Secret (JWICS) networks.
• Ensure infrastructure designs align with federal compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and DoD-centric architectures.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure experience with deep expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Active U.S. TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is mandatory.
• Must be located in the United States and maintain U.S. soil status.
• Proven experience designing and operating Kubernetes and EKS at scale.
• Strong background in cloud security, IAM, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, FedRAMP).
• Fluency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, AWS CDK) at an enterprise scale.

Nice to have

• Experience with FedRAMP authorized environments or DoD Impact Level 6/7.
• Hands-on experience with AI agent platforms, vector databases, or inference optimization.
• FinOps experience including chargeback models and commitment-based discount strategies.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd.
• Relevant certifications such as CKA, CKS, or AWS Solutions Architect Professional.
