What you will do

  • Operate cylindrical, internal, or surface grinders to produce complex parts with intricate features.
  • Perform independent setups, including aligning irregular shapes and selecting appropriate wheels, speeds, and feeds.
  • Inspect finished work using precision equipment such as air gages, diatest, and profilometers.
  • Interpret blueprints, operation sheets, and technical instructions to ensure quality standards.
  • Participate in cell-based work planning and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality protocols for flight-critical components.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Grind Machinist.
  • Ability to hold tight tolerances (typically .001 +/- .0005) and apply GD&T principles.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift in Buffalo, NY.
  • Must be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.
  • Requirement to participate in the F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program.
