What you will do

• Design custom mechanical systems, including tooling, fixtures, and robotic cells for automation equipment.
• Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using NX, SolidWorks, or PTC Creo.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with controls and software teams to deliver integrated automation solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, prototyping, testing, and system installation.
• Improve manufacturing process reliability and efficiency through technical architecture and roadmap implementation.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident (Green Card holder) due to export control regulations.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for automation, robotics, or industrial equipment.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software and implementation of GD&T on 2D drawings.
• Strong understanding of machine design, motion systems, and pneumatic actuators.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with industrial robotic systems like KUKA, FANUC, or ABB.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
• Experience working in a system integrator or custom industrial automation company.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and operate CNC machines.
• Experience with project and ticket management systems.
