What you will do
- Review physician charges and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with CPT and ICD-10 guidelines.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and charge capture errors to minimize claim denials.
- Manage the charge capture process, including ensuring timely authorizations and collaborating with practice staff.
- Partner with Accounts Receivable teams to analyze denied claims and ensure optimal reimbursement.
- Analyze denial trends and conduct internal audits to support revenue integrity and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain reports tracking reimbursement performance and collection activity.
Requirements
- Must be based in Canada or the United States.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in physician billing, AR management, or revenue integrity.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and payer reimbursement methodologies.
- Proficiency in EHR and billing systems such as Epic, Athena, or eClinicalWorks.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis.
