What you will do

• Direct high-volume data gathering, mining, and processing to create effective data models.
• Implement semantic data capabilities using Natural Language Processing (NLP), text analysis, and machine learning.
• Define requirements for data analyses and present business insights to management using visualization tools.
• Conduct research on algorithm and data model optimization to improve analysis accuracy.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, and Engineering teams to solve real-world electrification challenges.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Peterborough, UK
• Proven experience in a Data Scientist or similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in Python and core data science libraries including NumPy and Pandas.
• Strong foundation in business statistics and machine learning algorithms.
• Experience working with structured datasets and query/database access tools.
• Ability to elicit and record business functionality requirements for software development.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Snowflake.
• Interest in machine analytics, electrification, or energy systems.
• Experience creating data visualizations or dashboards.
• Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks.
