What you will do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• Supervise core accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage financial and tax audits as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and AI adoption to automate and streamline financial processes.
• Manage and develop the accounting team to support the company's growth and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of close, reporting, and team management.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and CAD GAAP standards, including multi-entity and multi-currency reporting.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
• Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, technology, or high-growth environments.
• Previous experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Understanding of direct and indirect tax requirements in North America and Australia.
• Experience implementing accounting systems and AI-driven automation tools.
