TL;DR
Team Lead Engineer (C#/.NET) (Billing and Payments): Building and evolving microservices for booking, billing, payments, invoicing, and ERP integrations with an accent on hands-on C#/.NET development and technical leadership. Focus on designing resilient domain architecture with Docker, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, DDD, Event Sourcing, and CQRS while translating business requirements for VP and C-level stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid work from the Rotterdam office, Netherlands

What you will do

  • Write substantial production code in C# and .NET.
  • Technically lead the Billing Squad through code reviews, mentoring, and participation in hiring.
  • Communicate with VP and C-level stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical tasks.
  • Design and evolve microservices architecture using Docker, PostgreSQL, and RabbitMQ or equivalent message brokers.
  • Develop billing, payments, invoicing, and ERP integration capabilities.
  • Apply SOLID, TDD, DDD, Event Sourcing, and CQRS architectural patterns.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of deep development experience with C# and .NET.
  • 2+ years in a Team Lead or equivalent technical leadership role.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, relational databases, message brokers, microservices, and Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with code review, mentoring, hiring, and ownership of technical decisions.
  • Strong spoken and written English for communication and negotiations with VP and C-level stakeholders.
  • Proven experience managing VP and C-level stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • AWS or Kubernetes experience.
  • Experience in billing, invoicing, payments, or ERP integrations.
  • Knowledge of VAT/GST, accounting principles, or revenue recognition.
  • Experience with Redis or Elasticsearch.
