Senior PostgreSQL Database Engineer (RDS)

What you will do

• Build, improve, and manage PostgreSQL as a fully managed RDS and Aurora database service.
• Work with customers to understand database challenges, resolve critical escalations, and teach best practices.
• Drive feature enhancements, design end-to-end test scenarios, improve service performance, and resolve root causes of defects.
• Participate in feature brainstorming, architecture discussions, implementation, validation, code reviews, and product-cycle decisions.
• Create metrics, implement automation, and deliver high-impact solutions for a large customer base.
• Engage with the open-source community through forums, conferences, and feature or bug-fix code submissions.

Requirements

• Experience with PostgreSQL or software development.
• Ability to collaborate with developers, product and program managers, support teams, account teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
• Capability to contribute technical input to design and business decisions.

• Experience in data engineering.
