What you will do

• Lead and empower a team of senior engineers using a distributed leadership model, supporting execution, performance, and career growth.
• Own the AI Platform roadmap by translating product and company goals into clear plans while balancing structured delivery with reactive work.
• Drive delivery across cross-pod dependencies by resolving blockers and tracking roadmap milestones.
• Provide technical stewardship through architectural reviews and hands-on guidance (~20% of time), ensuring safety, medical compliance, and performance.
• Act as the primary stakeholder point of contact across Product, Analytics, and Engineering, representing Flo’s AI vision to industry partners.

Requirements

• Proven engineering leadership experience managing teams in fast-moving product environments, including mentoring and hiring.
• Hands-on depth in AI/ML infrastructure in production, including MLOps and/or model serving and AI platform engineering.
• Manager-as-leader mindset with enough technical depth to guide trade-offs in architecture discussions.
• Comfort operating in agile environments where priorities shift, while protecting roadmap momentum.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and stakeholder management experience.
