What you will do

• Build an end-to-end foundation model over financial event sequences for underwriting, credit limit strategy, fraud detection, and collections.
• Drive technical decisions from methodology and implementation to performance, latency, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage the full production lifecycle: training infrastructure, evaluation frameworks, model serving, and monitoring.
• Research state-of-the-art approaches, publish work, and represent the company at leading conferences.
• Mentor senior engineers and scientists, owning technical standards for model development and deployment practices.
• Communicate complex results to cross-functional stakeholders, including product and business leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience applying deep learning to sequential data, with a strong preference for transformer architectures.
• Strong foundation in mathematical statistics and probability theory.
• Deep understanding of ML algorithms including GBM, MLP, CNN, RNN, and Transformers.
• Experience with distributed training and deploying large models to production with a focus on latency/cost trade-offs.
• Degree in mathematics, physics, or Computer Science from a top technical university.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Kaggle Competitions Master or Grandmaster status.
• Experience developing models specifically for banking or consumer lending.
