What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications using C# and .NET.
• Build scalable, resilient software and RESTful APIs to support the player platform.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical design decisions to raise engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams in a cross-functional Agile environment.
• Investigate production issues, monitor application health, and optimize platform stability.
• Research new technologies and build prototypes to modernize the existing codebase.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience developing applications with C# and .NET.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and working with large, complex codebases.
• Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing practices.
• Experience working within Agile software development teams.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Sunderland, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or modern frameworks.
• Experience working with SQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.
