Lead Software Engineer (.NET)

TL;DR

Lead Software Engineer (.NET/AWS): Building and optimizing a global SaaS platform with an accent on cloud-native technology, platform modernization, and scalable distributed systems. Location: Hybrid working (2 days per week in Manchester)

Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 per annum + 20% Annual Bonus

What you will do

• Lead an Agile engineering squad while remaining hands-on with design and coding.
• Design and build scalable cloud-native applications and event-driven microservices using modern .NET.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Platform teams to deliver resilient distributed systems.
• Drive engineering best practices, clean code standards, and conduct technical code reviews.
• Coach and mentor software engineers to promote overall engineering excellence.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience developing enterprise applications in C#/.NET.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring other software engineers.
• Experience building cloud-native applications within AWS.
• Expertise in designing scalable distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform.
• Location: Must be able to work hybrid (2 days per week) in Manchester.

Nice to have

• Experience with React or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Knowledge of DynamoDB and SQL.
