What you will do

• Own and evolve the Python connector and SDK ecosystem to improve performance, reliability, and API design.
• Develop enterprise-grade integrations with orchestration platforms (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) and transformation tools (dbt).
• Drive the AI/LLM integration strategy, designing patterns for RAG architectures and ML feature pipelines.
• Collaborate with the open-source community, triage issues, and shape the product roadmap based on user feedback.
• Partner with Product and Cloud teams to align integration efforts with broader platform priorities.
• Apply a practitioner's perspective to prioritize features based on real-world Data Engineer and Data Scientist workflows.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience, including hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or ML Engineer.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining production-grade Python connectors, SDKs, or integrations.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML in production (embedding generation, vector search, or LLM-powered tooling).
• Proficiency in the Python data ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic) and concurrent Python (async, threading, multiprocessing).
• Strong database fundamentals, including SQL, data modeling, and familiarity with OLAP platforms.
• Must be based in one of the eligible locations: USA, Canada, UK, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Israel, or UAE.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ClickHouse or other high-performance OLAP platforms.
• Experience with the JVM ecosystem.
• Experience deploying AI/ML models, including inference APIs and vector databases.
• Prior experience in a product-facing or platform role as a Data Engineer or Scientist.
