What you will do

• Act as the primary liaison between control owners, management, advisory firms, and internal/external auditors.
• Own and maintain SOX documentation, including process flowcharts and risk & control matrices.
• Lead walkthroughs for business process controls (R2R, P2P, O2C) and IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• Identify control gaps, perform root cause analysis, and partner with stakeholders to develop remediation plans.
• Identify opportunities to streamline or automate control activities to reduce manual effort.
• Leverage data and AI-assisted review techniques to improve monitoring and audit readiness.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SOX 404, internal control advisory, audit, or risk management.
• Strong skills in control documentation, building flowcharts, and project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Atlanta, GA.
• Experience partnering with external advisors and managing audit requests.

Nice to have

• CPA, CIA, or CISA certifications.
• Experience with GRC tools such as Diligent or AuditBoard.
• Hands-on experience with Workday ERP/HCM platforms.
• SOX readiness experience for a newly public environment.
