TL;DR

Head of Internal Audit (Finance/Compliance): Leading the global internal audit function to provide independent assurance and advisory services with an accent on governance, risk management, and internal controls. Focus on executing risk-based audit plans, managing SOX compliance, and integrating AI to enhance audit efficiency.

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in North Reading, MA, US (expectation of 2-3 days on site per week)

What you will do

• Lead the global internal audit function, covering financial, operational, compliance, and technology audits.
• Develop and execute a risk-based annual audit plan aligned with business priorities and enterprise risks.
• Partner with executive leadership and the Audit Committee to provide insights on control effectiveness and governance.
• Lead the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing program and oversee operational audits and special investigations.
• Expand technology audit capabilities to address cybersecurity priorities and support new ERP implementation.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global internal audit team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant leadership experience in internal audit, public accounting, or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and audit standards.
• Proven experience leading SOX compliance programs and reporting to Board-level stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of IT audit, cybersecurity risk, and ERP implementation.
