TL;DR
Engineering Manager (AI): Leading a high-impact product engineering team to build and scale customer-facing features for Runpod’s AI infrastructure platform with an accent on Linux systems internals, cloud orchestration, and developer workflows. Focus on driving technical architecture, managing high-velocity product roadmaps, and fostering a culture of ownership in a remote-first environment.

Location: Must be authorized to work in the United States

Salary: $110,000–$220,000

hirify.global is a rapidly growing, well-funded startup building foundational cloud infrastructure for developers to train and deploy custom AI systems at scale.

What you will do

  • Lead a team of engineers in shipping new functionality and iterating on console, API, and developer workflow surfaces.
  • Translate product strategy into clear technical plans, milestones, and success metrics.
  • Drive pragmatic system design for product-layer services, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Hire, mentor, and develop engineers while fostering a culture of ownership and craft.
  • Improve automated testing, release safety, and observability for customer-facing systems.
  • Partner with Product, Program, Support, and Infrastructure teams to coordinate dependencies and maintain clear ownership.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of engineering management experience, including roadmap delivery and team development.
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience building products at scale.
  • Strong technical depth in Linux systems internals and/or cloud systems engineering.
  • Proficiency in backend or full-stack development (Go, Python, or TypeScript preferred).
  • Solid understanding of distributed, cloud-native architectures and microservices.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to have

  • Experience building AI/ML or developer platforms.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, container runtimes, or GPU/accelerator workflows.
  • Track record of scaling teams in high-growth environments.
  • Open-source contributions in cloud-native or systems projects.
