Compensation: $72,500 – $106,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage the creation and maintenance of end-user guides, installation manuals, and online help content.
• Collaborate with senior writers and engineering teams to gather technical information and document new features.
• Follow established documentation standards, templates, and style guides.
• Participate in documentation reviews and incorporate feedback from peers and stakeholders.
• Track assigned documentation tasks and ensure timely completion within Agile sprint cycles.
• Perform basic validation of documented steps by testing simple workflows.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to commute to Ottawa, Canada.
• Associate degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for software products.
• Proficiency with MadCap Flare and Atlassian Confluence.
• Familiarity with VMware virtualized environments.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities across parallel releases.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Visio or similar flowcharting tools.
• Experience authoring SDK and API documentation.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience updating Linux man-pages.
• Basic understanding of cloud-based software environments.
