TL;DR
Human Resources Advisor (12 months contract) (Human Resources): Supporting recruitment, career development, employee training, and retention initiatives across Canada with an accent on talent acquisition, learning plans, and relationships with educational institutions. Focus on designing career progression plans, coordinating complex training programs, improving employee retention, and advising on recruitment strategies.

Location: Hybrid work mode in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada. Legal status to work in Canada is required.

What you will do

  • Support staffing processes, recommend recruitment strategies, conduct active headhunting, and contribute to salary recommendations.
  • Promote internal mobility and help employees identify relevant vacancies.
  • Develop career progression plans and support employee retention and recognition strategies.
  • Research training providers and tools, coordinate external training logistics, and support e-learning course development.
  • Maintain relationships with Canadian universities, colleges, and trade schools.
  • Contribute to HR best-practice research, innovative approaches, and internal and external communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or a related field.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in a human resources department.
  • Experience consulting on recruitment, training, and employee development.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, customer service, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • English-French bilingualism is required.
  • Legal status to work in Canada is required; occasional travel in Quebec and Canada and variable working hours may be necessary.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of university or college environments.
  • Experience with integrated HR systems such as SuccessFactors or Workday.
