What you will do
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with shippers and receivers to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct market analysis, present pricing proposals, and manage contract negotiations, renewals, and expansions.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to meet client objectives and achieve company growth targets.
- Monitor account profitability, financial reports, and assist with billing and collections.
- Coordinate with internal procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and KPI compliance.
- Manage shipment-level interactions, including tracking, tracing, and resolving operational bottlenecks.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in account management within transportation or logistics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- 3 years of transportation logistics experience and 1 year of LTL management experience.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM software, and EDI/API concepts.
- Experience with Google Suite.
