What you will do

• Develop geospatial tools and algorithms to determine the most effective locations for cameras, drones, and safety devices.
• Build software integrations to automate permitting submissions and approvals with various municipalities and utility companies.
• Design a "single pane of glass" dashboard for customers to monitor device installation progress and fleet health.
• Collaborate at the intersection of mapping, civic tech, and UX to solve complex hardware deployment challenges.

Requirements

• Proficiency with TypeScript (Node) and a strong understanding of general API design.
• Confidence in a modern web framework, specifically React with TypeScript.
• Strong SQL skills and experience interacting with various data stores.
• Deep understanding of Docker, Helm, and deploying to Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of AWS managed services such as S3, API Gateway, and SQS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS certification, including a fingerprint-based FBI background check.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering practices using tools like Claude, Copilot, or Codex.
