What you will do

• Build and maintain secure, scalable web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.
• Design and implement business logic close to the data layer using Postgres functions, views, triggers, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Integrate AI tools like Cursor, Devin, and Copilot into the core workflow to accelerate implementation and automate engineering tasks.
• Collaborate with security researchers to embed security best practices, authentication/authorization (OAuth2/OIDC), and threat models into every layer.
• Model and optimize relational data in PostgreSQL to support 10x–30x growth in multi-tenant workloads.
• Optimize API contracts and event flows using Next.js server components and Supabase Edge Functions.

Requirements

• Proven track record of deploying production-grade applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Must be based in Canada or the United States.
• AI-Native Developer: Daily proficiency with AI tools (Cursor, Devin, Copilot) to accelerate development and refactoring.
• Deep experience with relational data modeling and query optimization in high-volume PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and vulnerability mitigation in web applications.
• Experience running applications in the cloud, ideally within AWS environments.

Nice to have

• Experience designing agentic workflows using frameworks like Agno, Vercel AI SDK, or LangChain.
• Advanced Supabase DBA skills, including connection pooling and capacity planning.
• Background in software supply chain security, SBOM analysis, or vulnerability intelligence.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Honeycomb, Datadog, or Prometheus.
