What you will do

• Enhance and maintain EMR data systems, focusing on extraction logic and backend repository architecture to ensure data integrity and standardization.
• Manage semi-annual EMR data extraction operations and maintain comprehensive ETL documentation and procedural resources.
• Apply machine learning techniques to optimize data quality and conduct automated testing to detect anomalies.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain a shared codebase and scripts for data integration and repository management.
• Provide technical systems support for secure research environments, implementing code enhancements and responding to server requests.
• Collaborate with other programmers on application design and execute user acceptance testing to maintain business functionality.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to work onsite at the hirify.global Vancouver Campus in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency with SQLite, MS SQL Server, and Postgres.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience in primary care medical settings or medical research environments.
• Proficiency with Go.
• Experience applying ML techniques to text data classification.
• Knowledge of health information regulations, research ethics, and provincial privacy laws.
