Location: Hybrid model requiring three days per week of in-person presence in Canada

Salary: 65,000 – 100,000 CAD

What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks on Microsoft Azure.
• Implement data transformations using Python and SQL following engineering standards.
• Support ingestion from diverse sources including APIs, event-driven feeds, and enterprise applications.
• Design and maintain curated datasets within Lakehouse layers.
• Perform data quality checks, anomaly detection, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with analytics, data science, and AI teams to enable downstream reporting and AI-assisted analytics.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada and able to work in a hybrid model (3 days/week in-office).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python for data processing and automation.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and transforming large datasets.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and data engineering fundamentals (ETL/ELT, data modeling).
• Exposure to Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with Delta Lake or Lakehouse architectures.
• Exposure to CI/CD concepts for data pipelines.
• Familiarity with data governance, privacy, or regulated data environments.
• Experience supporting production systems in a 24x7 enterprise environment.
