What you will do

• Design and develop electro-mechanical components and systems for commercial ice machines.
• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings.
• Drive product improvements, cost reductions, and design optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Participate in design reviews, testing, and validation of new product features.
• Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve design issues.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in an engineering field.
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical design principles and industrial product design.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, plastics, and assembly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Manitowoc, WI.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with SolidWorks, Creo, and PDM systems.
• Experience with refrigeration systems.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Experience with prototype builds and validation testing.
• Knowledge of ERP software such as Oracle or SAP.
