Staff Software Engineer - EDR Agent (Go) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote (United States)

Salary: $200,000 – $220,000 base plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Design and develop high-performance endpoint agents using Go for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Extract telemetry by leveraging deep knowledge of OS internals, including processes, memory, and syscalls.
• Integrate agents with SaaS REST APIs focusing on minimal resource footprint on endpoints.
• Establish Go coding standards and build the concurrent, performance-sensitive core of the agent.
• Implement and define the responsible use of AI coding tools for privileged software development.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate architectural tradeoffs to stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 5+ years of experience writing idiomatic, concurrent production Go code.
• Strong expertise in OS internals, memory management, and the user/kernel boundary.
• Proven experience with distributed systems, scalability, and reliability.
• Deep knowledge of at least one major OS ecosystem (Windows, macOS/Darwin, or Linux).
• Experience using AI coding agents to accelerate development.

Nice to have

• Experience or familiarity with EDR or EPP systems.
• Prior cybersecurity industry experience.
