TL;DR

Senior Tax Operations Analyst (Fintech): Managing tax information reporting and compliance for equities and crypto with an accent on reporting, withholding, and cost basis. Focus on automating data flows, executing exception reports, and building metrics dashboards using SQL and Databricks.

Location: Must be based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY; in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

Base pay range for Zone 1: $115,000 - $135,000 USD

What you will do

• Collaborate with product, project, and engineering teams to launch and scale tax systems.
• Execute exception reports covering withholding, cost basis, and reporting.
• Implement data reconciliations between internal systems, vendors, and the IRS.
• Build and maintain dashboards for metrics and checklists to improve workflows.
• Resolve tax-related inquiries for Customer Experience and Account Operations teams.
• Streamline data flow and automate processes across various Robinhood entities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field.
• 3-5+ years of work experience in tax, accounting, and/or operations.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in Financial Services, Fintech, or Crypto.
• Prior Tax Ops or Tax Project management experience.
• Understanding of Tax Onboarding and IRS Forms W-9 and W-8BEN.
• Proficiency with SQL, Databricks, and working with large datasets.
