Tax Operations Manager (Fintech)

Salary: $110,000 - $165,000 USD (base pay varies by location zone)

What you will do

• Lead tax reporting processes for taxable and retirement accounts, executing critical exception reports for withholding and cost basis.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to launch and scale Robinhood's tax systems and products.
• Partner with Customer Experience and Account Operations to resolve complex tax inquiries and withholding discrepancies.
• Develop and implement data reconciliations between internal systems and vendors to verify IRS transmission accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in tax operations.
• Proven experience with retirement tax reporting, specifically IRS Forms 1099-R and 5498.
• Proficiency in SQL or Databricks to manage and convert large datasets.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in Financial Services, Fintech, or Crypto.
• Understanding of tax onboarding procedures and Forms W-9/W-8BEN.
