TL;DR
Engineer II (FHIR): Develop, deploy, and maintain backend applications and FHIR-compliant APIs and services for healthcare data exchange with an accent on CI/CD/DevOps integration, data validation and regulatory reporting constraints, and healthcare interoperability patterns. Focus on building and integrating FHIR resources and healthcare data platform integrations while ensuring code quality, architectural alignment, and reliable delivery.
Location: United States (US Citizenship or Green Card only; US Residency for at least the past 3 years; must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance)

What you will do
- Develop, deploy, and maintain backend applications using Java, Go, and Python.
- Design and implement FHIR-compliant APIs and services for healthcare data exchange; build and maintain integrations with FHIR servers and healthcare data platforms.
- Support migration from legacy data formats to FHIR-based architectures and ensure data accuracy, validation, and compliance.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and integrate with DevOps workflows; participate in Agile planning and delivery.
- Develop frontend components (Angular, HTML, TypeScript) and manage database development with SQL (including performance tuning).
- Work with AWS services and infrastructure tooling (e.g., Terraform) to build scalable, secure cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- Meaningful experience with FHIR (HL7 FHIR), including resources, profiles, and implementation guides (FHIR R4).
- Experience building or integrating RESTful APIs aligned to FHIR specifications; familiarity with FHIR servers (e.g., HAPI FHIR) and consuming/designing FHIR resources (Measure, MeasureReport, Patient, Encounter, Observation).
- Strong relational database experience (e.g., PostgreSQL) and understanding of data validation, data quality, and regulatory reporting constraints.
- Experience with fully automated CI/CD pipelines from commit through production deployment; experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
- Experience with healthcare data formats and quality measurement concepts (e.g., QRDA, C-CDA, eCQM/dQM) and exposure to measure logic execution (e.g., CQL).
- Security/eligibility: US Citizenship or Green Card only; US Residency for at least the past 3 years; able to meet Public Trust requirements including a successful US Government background investigation.
