Solutions Engineer - Enterprise (Data Center)

Location: Remote, but residence in the surrounding Madison, Wisconsin area is required; travel to SHI, partner, and customer events is required.

Salary: $160,000–$260,000 annually, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies with account teams.
• Design tailored infrastructure solutions aligned with customer business objectives, needs, and budgets.
• Identify technology opportunities across data center, cloud, network, security, collaboration, and services areas.
• Build technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners and maintain current product knowledge.
• Provide product training, technical education, and technical-selling guidance to sales teams and customers.
• Manage the solution practice pipeline and advise customer stakeholders including CIOs, IT directors, and CTOs.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role or relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience.
• Experience with complex data center sales opportunities and infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud, hyperconverged infrastructure, software-defined data centers, virtualization, hypervisors, automation, containerization, and data center management platforms.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, high availability, backup and recovery, data protection, mirroring, and clustering.
• Expertise with mainstream technologies including Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix.

• Advanced certification in Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or Nutanix.
