What you will do
- Define and lead the evolution of core search and indexing capabilities.
- Research advances in search infrastructure, data structures, and retrieval algorithms to ensure efficiency.
- Collaborate with product teams to shape the long-term technical vision for search at .
- Drive an innovative roadmap for indexing, query execution, and relevance layers.
- Mentor expert engineers, providing technical and professional guidance.
- Serve as a domain authority for core search components, continuously improving them.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading technical projects in search infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Hands-on expertise with search and indexing technologies such as search, Lucene, or Solr.
- Strong proficiency in core Java, including advanced data structures, concurrency constructs, and lambdas.
- Ability to work with a high level of autonomy from project concept to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating across distributed teams.
- Must comply with export controls; candidates from sanctioned regions (including Russia and Belarus) may require an export license.
Nice to have
- Prior experience building production systems with search.
- Experience contributing to open source projects and familiarity with various CI/CD workflows.
