What you will do

• Define and oversee the technical direction of retrieval pipelines including chunking, semantic indexing, and vector search.
• Establish evaluation standards for the platform to make response quality a top priority.
• Integrate LLMs in multi-tenant contexts, focusing on context management, prompt engineering, and cost control.
• Proactively identify architecture limitations and propose improvements to avoid user impact.
• Mentor junior and mid-level team members on ML best practices and experimental rigor.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders on AI-related topics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning for NLP or information retrieval systems in production.
• Proficiency in Python and ML/NLP frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and HuggingFace Transformers.
• Proven experience with RAG architectures, embedding models, and vector databases (e.g., Qdrant, Pinecone, Weaviate).
• Expertise in LLM APIs (Claude, GPT) and advanced prompt engineering techniques.
• Experience with RAG evaluation frameworks (e.g., RAGAS) and metrics like MRR/NDCG.
• Familiarity with AWS, Databricks (MLflow), and containerized environments.
