What you will do
- Lead end-to-end applied research projects that drive innovation in legal and tax domains.
- Translate complex business challenges into technical AI solutions and determine their feasibility.
- Deliver and scale AI capabilities, including production IR, NLP, and GenAI systems.
- Mentor other scientists and influence the technical direction of the team.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying production IR, NLP, ML, or GenAI systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end AI project delivery in cross-functional environments.
- Expertise in RAG architectures, agentic frameworks, tool-using systems, or orchestration patterns.
- Must be based in the US or Canada.
- Proven record of publications at venues such as ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGIR, or KDD.
