What you will do

• Design, configure, and maintain Microsoft Purview and Information Protection policies.
• Implement and tune DLP rules to prevent unauthorized data sharing across Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Manage external collaboration and third-party data access controls.
• Monitor compliance posture and produce actionable insights to support audit and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure end-to-end data protection.
• Participate in incident response, investigations, and post-incident data protection reviews.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in enterprise Microsoft 365 environments focusing on security, compliance, and information protection.
• Hands-on expertise in designing and implementing MIP policies, sensitivity labels, and encryption controls.
• Deep practical knowledge of Microsoft Purview (Data Lifecycle Management, Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery).
• Experience using PowerShell and Graph API for automation and reporting.
• Ability to align security controls with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, GDPR, and HIPAA.
• Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of related professional experience.
• Certifications: SC-401, SC-200, SC-900, CISSP, CCSP, or Security+.
