Associate AWS Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Associate AWS Engineer (AWS/Python): Developing secure, scalable backend services for OSA Pathways within the Digital Health business with an accent on serverless cloud solutions and patient journey workflows. Focus on building reliable software using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB to improve sleep-health outcomes.

Location: Hybrid (2–3 days per week onsite in Dublin, Ireland)

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable backend software applications.
• Build cloud-based serverless services to support digital health products and patient workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and QA.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and pair programming.
• Troubleshoot software defects and optimize performance and integration.
• Improve development processes, delivery pipelines, and observability practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Working knowledge of Python and object-oriented design principles.
• Exposure to AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth2, and JWT.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and software testing methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQS, SNS, and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of NoSQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
