Principal Engineer EMC (Automotive)

What you will do

• Manage EMC RFQ activities, including requirement assessments, technical concepts, and cost estimations.
• Lead the technical implementation of new EMC test methods and equipment within the lab.
• Provide technical mentoring and training for the EMC team and other technical experts.
• Analyze international and OEM EMC standards to define impact and ensure technical compliance.
• Develop and review test plans while aligning technical expectations with customers.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support the Customer Reliability Manager with risk assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent (advanced degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in EMC qualification within the Automotive Industry.
• In-depth understanding of EMC standards and test methods.
• Business Fluent (C1) in both English and German.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Supervisory experience.
• Experience with EMC Lab accreditation.
