Fire Protection Design Engineer (Junior)

TL;DR

Fire Protection Design Engineer (Junior) (Fire Protection Engineering): Supporting and delivering fire protection engineering and design projects for buildings and industrial plants with an accent on mechanical and electrical system design and BIM-based modelling. Focus on developing compliant engineering solutions according to Korea fire codes and NFPA standards, and coordinating multidisciplinary project interfaces.

Location: Seoul, South Korea (Hybrid work opportunity)

What you will do

• Design fire fighting systems (sprinklers, foam, gaseous suppression, etc.) for buildings and industrial plants.
• Develop fire alarm and detection systems, notification systems, and egress signage.
• Prepare design documentation in compliance with Korea fire codes and NFPA standards.
• Create 3D building models and facility libraries using Revit and Navisworks.
• Coordinate interfaces with architecture, MEP, and structural teams to eliminate design clashes.
• Perform BIM-based quantity take-offs to enhance drawing quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Associate degrees may also apply).
• Entry-level or up to 2+ years of professional experience.
• Must be based in Seoul, South Korea.
• Ability to work within the 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Mon-Fri) schedule.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in English or other foreign languages.
• Experience with overseas/international projects.
• Firefighting Equipment Technician Certification (Mechanical or Electrical Field).
