Assistant Controller (Accounting, Reporting and Tax Manager)

Location: Hybrid role based in Istanbul, Turkey

hirify.global is a global tire manufacturer developing and producing mobility products and services, with operations across multiple countries.

What you will do

• Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with VUK, US GAAP, and IFRS.
• Coordinate reporting timetables and hyperinflationary accounting.
• Manage a team of 6–7 associates, including Shared Service Center associates.
• Coordinate month-end close and account reconciliation processes.
• Support external audits and maintain strong supporting evidence for balance sheet accounts.
• Manage local VAT and corporate tax compliance, transfer pricing coordination, and selected internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience, including people management.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting principles, US GAAP, and IFRS.
• Deep understanding of accounting procedures, business processes, and operations.
• At least 2–3 years of management experience with strong communication and team development skills.
• Fluency in Turkish and English is required.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, ACCA, CA, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in an audit or accounting firm.
