What you will do

• Design and develop electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and control components for competition cars.
• Produce and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical engineering documentation.
• Support senior designers with concept generation, component selection, and technical investigations.
• Assist with the development, testing, and validation of vehicle electrical systems.
• Manage engineering changes and ensure documentation is updated accurately.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues identified during vehicle build, testing, and competitions.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng degree in Electrical Engineering, Motorsport Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of fundamental electrical and electronic engineering principles.
• Familiarity with electrical design software and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail in producing engineering documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for multidisciplinary team collaboration.
• Logical and analytical approach to troubleshooting and resolving engineering challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience using CAD software, preferably CATIA V5.
• Previous experience in a Design Office (industrial placement) or practical experience (Formula Student, volunteering on race weekends).
