TL;DR
Senior Systems Engineer - Automotive (C/C++/AUTOSAR): Developing and testing systems and application software, reference solutions, and production-ready ECU designs for automotive vehicle architectures with an accent on gateway, central computing, domain controller, and zonal controller systems. Focus on integrating Linux, AUTOSAR, TSN, networking, multicore, virtualization, security, and functional safety across customer and global team projects.
Location: Chongqing, China

What you will do
- Develop and test systems and application software for automotive gateway, central computing, domain controller, zonal controller, and ECU applications.
- Design reference solutions for production-ready ECU development and new vehicle architecture prototypes.
- Participate in the CoreRide project and create reference designs for automotive customers.
- Collaborate with global NXP teams on vehicle system solutions and new product enablement.
- Support customers in China and international markets on NXP automotive products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in automotive electronics, microelectronics, computer science, electrical engineering, software, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, semiconductor companies, automotive software vendors, or related industries.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and ARM assembly.
- Knowledge of automotive technology, vehicle electrical/electronic architecture, Linux, AUTOSAR, TSN, security, and functional safety.
- Knowledge of microprocessor or microcontroller architecture, with strong communication and technical presentation skills.
- Good oral and written Chinese and English are required.
Nice to have
- Linux internals, device drivers, networking, multicore systems, kernel development, or virtualization.
- Embedded systems, RTOS, CPU cores, and instruction sets.
- Ethernet, TSN, TCP/IP, routers, and switches.
- ECU systems such as gateways, CCUs, VCUs, inverters, BMS, and OBC.
- Automotive energy distribution systems, DCDC converters, eFuses, eSwitches, or hardware design experience.
