Senior System Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Shanghai, China; onsite

What you will do

• Develop applications on embedded Linux systems.
• Maintain SDK build systems and selected device drivers.
• Provide technical support to customers worldwide using hirify.global solutions.
• Collaborate with other teams on software development.
• Prepare technical documentation for customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, the Linux kernel, and driver development.
• Strong C programming skills, sound software engineering practices, and good coding habits.
• Familiarity with scripting languages and tools such as Makefile, Shell, and Python.
• Good understanding of embedded hardware and computer architecture.
• Basic knowledge of video and audio fundamentals.
• Strong self-learning ability and willingness to investigate technical problems.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong sense of responsibility, ability to work under pressure, clear communication, ability to plan and prioritize work, and strong teamwork.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Yocto build system.
• Experience with Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes/K3s.
• Contributions to open-source communities.
