What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert on Canadian consumer protection and payment regulations.
• Lead compliance risk assessments and periodic control testing processes.
• Provide regulatory advice to Product, Legal, and Operations teams on new initiatives.
• Oversee Canadian regulatory reporting and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
• Maintain and enhance local compliance policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Support regulatory examinations and inquiries from supervisory bodies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of compliance or legal experience in a Canadian regulated financial services environment.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian consumer protection and payment regulations, including RPAA.
• Proven experience with regulatory reporting and compliance risk assessments.
• Ability to operate independently with sound judgment and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• CAMS or CFCS certification.
• Experience in the consumer credit or fintech sector.
