What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend systems powering the web application.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to design and implement efficient APIs.
• Establish development practices including code reviews and comprehensive testing.
• Work with product teams to transform user requirements into robust backend solutions.
• Debug and resolve production, server-side, and database-related issues.
• Monitor and optimize system performance and scalability.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 8-10 years of experience in backend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js.
• Strong command of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases.
• Extensive experience with AWS services including Lambda, SQS, RDS, and EC2.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Amazon Redshift.
• Experience with low-code development platforms like Retool.
